Wildcat Weekly
March 19 2021
We have new procedures in place for attendance and pick up at dismissal. All of this is outlined below so please take some time to familiarize yourself with these new processes. With 456 students in the building adhering to the social distancing guidelines in place, there will naturally be a learning curve. Thank you in advance for our patience as we work out the kinks in the first couple of days.
We'll be celebrating the first week back with a spirit week, starting with tie dye day on Monday! More information on our spirit week is below!
Please note we still have two more weeks of remote Wednesdays in March. March 24th and March 31st are fully remote days for all students. Once we return to school after break on April 6th, students will attend in person every day! The full calendar for March and April can be found further down in the newsletter for your planning purposes.
It's going to be a great week!!!

Attendance
ABSENCES/LATE ARRIVALS/EARLY DISMISSALS
For all absences or late arrivals, please call the Safe Arrival phone line at 484-266-1810. This answering system can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to leave messages. For all early dismissals, you MUST send in a signed note with your child on the day of the early dismissal. We cannot accept emails for changes in dismissal. Only if it is a last-minute emergency change, please CALL the office at 484-266-1802 or 1803.
REMOTE
Beginning March 22nd, the option to remain remote will be going away for our students that attend in-person. If a student can’t make it to school, it will count as an absence and require either a parent or doctor’s note. Again – please call the Safe Arrival phone line if your child will be absent – 484-266-1810.
DISMISSAL
If you indicated a “No” on the survey for bus transportation, your child will need to be picked up by a parent each day.
If you indicated “Yes” on the survey for bus transportation, and you choose to pick your child up, you must send in a note with your child on the day of the change. We cannot accept emails.
COVID-Related Student Absence
Students who are sick can no longer remote unless it is Covid related. If an absence is Covid related, this MUST be communicated to the principal and school nurse in order to be approved to work remotely. If your child is unable to attend school due to other illness or is absent for other reasons, please contact your child's teacher to arrange for make-up of missed work. Please always contact attendance when your child is absent from school.
Parent Pick-Up at Dismissal
- Gate will be opened at 2:50 to pull cars off Westbourne Road sooner
- We have pulled the loading area up so we can load more cars at once. The beginning of the car line will now start by the picnic tables next to the playground.
- Cones will be used to guide students and keep them safe walking on the outside of the cones.
- We will be loading up to 6 cars at a time. Students will load at each of the 6 designated cones (as seen in the pictures below) with the assistance of a staff member at each cone.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
1. PARENTS MUST STAY IN CARS during pick up. Staff members will assist students in getting into the cars.
2. NAME CARDS MUST BE DISPLAYED IN WINDSHIELD. If you need a new one, please notify the office.
3. CARS MUST STAY IN THE CAR LINE. Please DO NOT try to cut around a car that is still loading in front of you.
4. If you need to pull over to get situated after picking up your child, please pull all the way up to the basketball hoops parallel to Westbourne road and pull over to the side out of the car line.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work through this new procedure during the first week!!
