Talking with Children and Teens - Strategies for Maximizing Effective Parenting - Join us for our March Parent/Guardian Education & Workshop Event!
One of the most challenging aspects of parenting is knowing how to “reach” your child and keep the communication channels open and functional. In many families, even simple day-to-day conversations are challenging and lead to conflicts, tears and significant frustration. Whatever the cause - different agendas of parents and kids, the stress of daily life, or other child/ family factors – these negative interactions can lead to strained relationships at a time in development where effective communication between children and parents is crucial.
The good news…it can get better! With a little give and take, a lot of patience, and a mutually healthy level of respect, parents and children can learn how to develop a better “communication highway” in their home. From 7pm to 8:30pm at the Thursday, March 28th Parent/Guardian Education & Workshop Eventtwo local parenting and teen experts, Robert Scholz, LMFT and Dr. Cara Kiff, will help you walk away with new strategies on how to better understand and communicate with your child. Whether your relationship is currently strained with your child or you’d just like to learn how to make an already good relationship better, this presentation is sure to offer you something to take and implement in your parent-child relationship.
