Traffic and Parking Lot Concerns - Please READ!
Over the past few weeks, the amount of dangerous"close calls" during drop-off and pick-up has increased. Some due to an increased amount of cars due to the heat and some due to new families who are not aware of our parking lot procedures. Please help us in providing a safe environment for our students and families by taking the time to read and follow our traffic safety procedures.
Please make true stops when on Apricot as you are entering the parking lot and be considerate of pedestrians using the crosswalk.
The driveway is NOT a crosswalk. Please take the time and walk around the parking lot and use the appropriate crosswalk.
At no time should a vehicle ever be left unless you are in a parking spot.
Be considerate of our district (yellow) buses so they can park on the green curbside.
Do not let students out in the middle of the parking lot when dropping off and please talk to them about not running to your vehicle until you are at a complete stop.
Please do not block the flow of traffic on Apricot Ave. If you are not able to make a LEFT into the parking lot driveway, you must keep driving. Brea PD will be around and monitor the traffic for the safety of our families.
* It is understandable that we are all in a hurry but please know our highest concern is the safety of students and families. Allow extra time for traffic and treat others with respect and patience. We teach our students to be kind and hope they see that in our daily interactions with other adults everyday. Thank you for always supporting the growth of our students!
