The Longhorn Boys Basketball program continued their memorable season with the school's first ever District Championship Friday night over Lake Nona 48-46! The team continues to boost their record setting season earning their 22nd win of the year. Coach Duke and boys find out later today who they will play in the Regional Quarterfinals on Thursday evening. In Girls Basketball action, our Lady Longhorns great season came to an end in a Regional loss to the top team in the state, Dr. Phillips. Great season, ladies! On the same note, Girls Soccer also went on the road in Regionals to Boca but fell just short after a great battle to end their successful season.
In addition, wrestling held their senior night to honor their 5 male and 1 female seniors. The team beat a tough Heritage squad, highlighted by Nelson Toro's pin which earned him his 150th career victory! This is not to be overshadowed by the Girls program which will be sending 7 girls to Regionals on Friday after they each earned bids in Districts Wednesday night.
