Davenport's Weekly Update
Week of April 18th, 2021
Message from the Principal
Greetings,
Happy Autism Awareness Month!
The week of April 26th, we will be recognizing the individuals affected by Autism with our Davenport Autism Awareness Spirit Week. Please feel free to participate with us as we conclude the month of April!
We are excited to welcome back ALL students whose families wish to return to in-person learning this coming week! Parents please be reminded of the following information as we prepare to recieve the students.
- The school schedule is Monday - Friday, full day from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm.
- Bus passes were issued by our transportation department.
- Please be aware, that your child is expected to attend school in-person unless he/she is not feeling well or exhibiting Covid-like symptoms. This is not an option to pick or choose daily.
- Families are welcome to stay in full virtual learning through the end of this school year.
- Be sure that you have signed and returned your child's affirmation document. If your child is experiencing cold-like symptoms you must complete a health screening that is sent daily.
- Be advised that Spring School Pictures are scheduled for Thursday, May 6th. Your child will bring home information regarding the portrait packages.
As always, please feel free to contact the school with any questions, comments, or concerns.
Until next time,
Have a good week!

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Kindergarten In Bloom
Mrs. Lukas' class has been learning about plants. The students read books about the parts of a plant, listened to songs about how to care for plants, created a class diagram of a plant, and also planted seeds to care for in the classroom each day. They can't wait for their seeds to bloom!
Davenport Celebrates Earth Day!
Davenport Elementary Art Teacher, Mrs. Pfaeffli, worked with Mrs. Cuthbertson's MD students to create a large sign in honor of Earth Day and then proudly displayed it in their hallway.
