Message from PTSA
Parkland PTSA Apparel Store
Marketplace Fundraiser – April’s 30% bonus profit comes from The Dessert Shop all month long. They make awesome Pies and Cheesecake just perfect for your Spring Break get-togethers! So, check them out and know you'll be helping support Parkland’s PTSA a little extra from those shops. Be sure to share this link with your family and friends or post on Social Media so they can order too. Remember, you can mix and match items from any of the stores and order $99 or more if you’d like free shipping. https://marketplacefundraising.com/pages/parkland.
ATTENTION PARENTS - Please see below opportunities to help our school:
1. LAST CALL - PTSA now considering Board Member positions for next year - All positions are open to new nominees but we have 3 current Board members willing to serve next year, too. Please consider volunteering 1-2 hours per month to help the Parkland PTSA stay functional to support our kids and staff. If interested, email one of the following to learn more. Deadline to be considered is April 30th.
a. Carol Petrov (VP of Fundraising) - cpetrov94@hotmail.com
b. Sutton Ragheb (Treasurer) - md.raghebfamily@gmail.com
c. Tania Gonzalez (VP of Membership) - tania.ponce@live.com
2. PBIS – “Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support” otherwise known as “Panther Paws” has been successful in encouraging our students to learn from mistakes and make better choices during their day at school. Students receive tickets that they can use at the school store to receive small toys as rewards. Our county no longer supplies items for this program so the PTSA is pitching in and we need your help. Please consider donating items that are fun, not too distracting and modestly priced so we can restock the store. Some examples are slime, stress balls, Hot Wheels cars and lip balms. Ms. Mead had put together this list via Amazon but you can buy them anywhere that’s convenient. PTSA will set up a box in the Office for you to drop off donations this week. You may also drop off cash or checks payable to “Parkland PTSA” that we’ll use for PBIS in the metal lockbox on the PTSA table near the window. Please include a note that it’s for PBIS.

3. Spring Book Fair – we’re currently in the planning stages of our next Book Fair which will take place IN SCHOOL, during the week of May 16th-20th. In the fall we realized we really needed more parents who could help in person throughout the day as the students were able to shop during certain classes. We need adults for 2-hour time slots to be not only cashiers but also crowd control and being available to answer questions or restock. If interested in helping, please contact Tania Gonzalez at tania.ponce@live.com
