Summary
Think aloud is when you pose a problem and you show the students how to solve it while thinking out loud the different solutions and how you got to each one.
It showed that if you put visual representations of think alouds in the room it is good for students to be reminded of them when reading or writing
What to model...
HOW the strategy is used
WHAT strategies to use in specific situations
Model every step!
What I got out of it
More inclusive classrooms so the thinking may need to be more scaffolded, and it gives children extra practice in reading and writing.
Limitations are that this is a very time consuming strategy. It takes a lot out of your day to go through every thought in subjects.
Also could be difficult to train yourself to do, and train your kids to understand how it works.
