These are KSHSAA Post-Season Events so no passes will be accepted.

Tiger Powerlifters Compete at State!
FSHS Tiger Powerlifters will be competing in the 4A State Powerlifting Meet at Wellington High School this Saturday!
"NO SCHOOL" DAYS IN MARCH
In addition to Spring Break, there is no school for FSHS Tigers on Friday, March 1st;
Friday, March 8th; Friday, March 29th (Good Friday).
There is also no school on the Monday following Easter, April 1st, no foolin' 😄
Do you ever wish you could “peek behind the curtain” and learn some of the “WHY” behind certain puzzling behaviors? Solving poverty means we must first understand the mindset which drives it.
Who should attend this workshop? Any member of the community who wants a greater understanding of poverty and a plan to alleviate it. This includes: business leaders, educators, clergy, church members, Core Community advisory board members, Core Community volunteers, Law Enforcement Officers, etc.
DATE: Saturday, March 2, 2024
TIME: 8:30 AM TO 12:30 PM
LOCATION: Fort Scott Nazarene Church
1728 Horton, Fort Scott, KS
COST: $35 (payable the day of event) If the cost is a barrier, please let me know. We have some other options.
Participants will review a mental model of poverty, examine a theory of change, and analyze poverty through the prism of housing, the hidden rules of class and resources. Cost includes training materials and book.

ANNUAL YEC TRADESHOW
FSHS Entrepreneurship students have been working on creating businesses for the Bourbon County Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge! Students have created a business, wrote a business plan and, THIS Tuesday, March 5th, these young entrepreneurs will present their businesses in a presentation to the judges. Students are also hosting a business tradeshow. The tradeshow is open to the public this Tuesday in the FSHS Auxiliary Gym from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

FSHS FORENSICS SEASON UNDERWAY!
The Local Chapter of the National Speech and Debate Association is proud to announce that the following students have qualified for the State Forensics Tournament. With five tournaments to go they have eight competitors already qualified with more to come.
They are:
Caroline Barnes- Prose Interpretation; Humorous Interpretation; Informative Speech
Grace Walker and Levi Fairchild- Improvised Duet Acting
Regan Wells-Original Oration; Impromptu Speaking Cadence Tuck- Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking
Nick Lantz-Prose Interpretation
Milo Donnelly and Chris Newman- Duet Acting
These students are highly talented and put in vast amounts of time perfecting their craft.
We congratulate them all and the entire Forensics team at FSHS!

FSHS Lady Tiger Wrestler Takes State!
Tiger Sophomore Kenna Miles is the first State Champion in the history of Lady Tiger Wrestling!
Senior Jasper Allison finishes his outstanding career as
State Runner-up!
Juniors Jaden Garcia and Brody Gomez finished 4th in their respective weight classes.
Freshman Jerri Smith finished fifth.
