Michelle Grinsteiner Principal
I am Michelle Grinsteiner. This is my 24th year in Edmond Public Schools and my 8th year as Principal at Cheyenne Middle School. My husband, Chad, and two kids, Caden and Kolby, live in Edmond with our labradors, Kona and Scout. Caden is a Frshman at OSU and Kolby is a Sophmore at Edmond North HS. We are always on the move with work, family, sports, and church. We love to vacation where we can be outdoors fishing, swimming, hiking, etc. We are dedicated OSU fans and travel to Stillwater for academic projects and athletics to support our alma mater.
I am originally from Greenville, SC. I attended the University of Tennessee and then transferred to Oklahoma State University to finish up my degree. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from OSU and a Masters in Education Leadership from the University of Central OK. I previously taught Middle School Math and Science, High School Biology, and Pre-AP Biology. For five years, I served as the Edmond PS Science/Health/PE Curriculum Coordinator. For three years I was an Assistant Principal at Summit MS. It is an honor to be the principal at Cheyenne Middle School because I taught at Cheyenne the first 4 years it was open.
Cheyenne is a fantastic place to work. The staff, students, and families are amazing and committed to providing an exceptional educational environment for everyone. I believe that we are here to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging educational environment that will develop the whole child. Growing and developing students requires support through purposeful relationships, opportunities, and caring.
We are Cheyenne! We are Mustangs!

Stacey Ruston 8th Grade Assistant Principal
I am Stacey Ruston and I am so excited to join the Cheyenne team as your 8th grade administrator! I am beginning my 16th year in education! I graduated from Midwest City HS and attended the University of Central Oklahoma where I got my bachelors degree and later my masters in Education Administration. My husband, Brett, and I have two boys, Ryan and Daniel. Ryan is a sophomore at Oklahoma State and is in the Cowboy Marching Band. Daniel is a junior at Santa Fe and is in the Front Ensemble. We love to spend our weekends at marching contests and football games! I am an avid Sooner fan, but I love going to Stillwater to support the band. I have a musical background and love to sing in the church choir.
I love everything Broadway, too! In my "spare" time, besides attending music and sporting events, I enjoy singing, reading and crafting.
I believe that everyone has a purpose and we can work together to build up strong young people into amazing members of our society. This year is going to be the best year ever! Go Mustangs!

Lindsey Speligene Counselor 6th Grade
I am beginning my third year at Cheyenne as a counselor and I am excited to see our students return as 8th graders. I have a son, Lane, who is almost a year and a half years old and a step-son Landry. My husband and I live in Crescent, OK, where he is a Captain on the Fire Department as a volunteer. His "real job" is in oil and gas. I am originally from Eufaula, OK and loved growing up on the lake. This helped cultivate my love of the outdoors. I attended UCO where I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology, then my Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling. I also attended OU and received my Master of Human Relations while working for OU in Germany, where I lived for three years. Prior to Cheyenne, I was the Associate Executive Director for the YMCA in Guthrie, OK and had worked for the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City for 13 years cumulatively. I am ready to meet all our new team members and share my love of Cheyenne and our students with you!

I also provided school-based counseling services to students in the Mid-Del area as well as worked as a parenting group facilitator at the Parents' Assistance Center in downtown Oklahoma City. I worked with Guthrie Public Schools as an elementary counselor for 3 years before coming to join the Cheyenne team. I received my B.S. in psychology from Cameron University in Lawton and my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma. Heather Kreth Principal's Secretary
Hello Cheyenne Mustangs!
I’m Heather, the new Principal’s Secretary. I was born and raised in Edmond passing through Orvis Risner ES, Cimarron MS, and Memorial HS on my way to Oklahoma State University. After I received my Zoology BS and worked with animals for 9 years, I decided to stay home with my children. As they are both in school now, I decided to go back to work. I was encouraged to join the Oklahoma Schools System, and I'm so glad I did! I hadn’t realized how much I missed spending time with kids until I started working again. It’s the perfect balance between time with kids and adults.

Lindsey Robinson Attendance Secretary
I am excited to be at Cheyenne. I have lived in Edmond since I moved here for college. I was born a country girl, but was destined to live as close to a Chick-fil-A (and other wonderful conveniences) as possible. I am married to TJ, a great guy with a ton of patience. We have two awesome kids, Jacob and Taylor. We also have two spoiled pups, one of which we rescued this summer. I have worked in education for 9 years. It started out just being a job with the same schedule as my kids, but I quickly realized I love it. Although the work can be exhausting, everyone has a part in making a difference in the families we live around.
Ashley Purvis- Financial Secretary
My name is Ashley and I am new to Cheyenne staff this year, but not new to Cheyenne. I am married and have two daughters. My oldest attended Cheyenne the last two years. She is a sophomore in high school at ENHS and my youngest will be in 2nd grade at John Ross. I love crafting, coffee (a lot!), Disney, travel, and basically anything nerdy! My oldest is a competitive golfer and we travel frequently for golf. I also have two cats and a dog. I have worked with children in many capacities. I especially love early childhood age and have been a teacher for a local mother's day out the last two years. I believe strongly that education is incredibly important and look forward to being a part of that culture at Cheyenne!

Lori Steen - Registrar
I have lived in Denver my whole life, moved to Oklahoma in early 2021. I have a dog named Sailor, he is my partner in crime. Unless he wakes me up in the middle of the night to bark at random things, then he is my arch nemesis. I have never worked in education I've worked at Walmart for over 8 years and just needed a change of pace. I have always loved schools and helping children, just brings me joy. Plus I love doing paperwork, so Registrar was perfect. I am currently finishing my degree at UCO, I am majoring in forensic photography. I am a huge Disney person, so anything Mickey Mouse shape is my calling card.
