Dear Families,
April 8th-12th is Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin. At Pleasant View, we will conduct our Shelter (tornado /severe weather) drill in line with the state drill happening at 1:45PM on April 11th. Please see the following statewide resources. They also conduct a statewide drill at 6:45pm if you want to practice at home with your child(ren). If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Our Community Education & Recreation Department has information out for both 2024 Summer Kids Camp and 2024-25 Before & After School Kids Club and registration is OPEN as of April 1st!
2024 SUMMER KIDS CAMP

Register for Kids Camp Membership by May 15th! After May 15th, all names will be placed on a waiting list. Parents will only be notified if a spot becomes available.
All registrations require a 48-business hour waiting period to begin the Kids Camp program.

If registering after May 15th, a $25 service fee will be added

5th GRADE FUTURE WILDCAT FIELD DAYS
As we shared recently with all 5th grade families, Thursday, May 23rd and Friday, May 24th will be a special day for our current 5th grade class. Please see the description below, mark your calendars and plan for a fun event!
Pleasant View Carnival - 4/12
The PTO carnival will be held on April 12th from 6-8 in the Pleasant View gym. The Carnival was a huge success last year and we are excited to hold it again. Your generous donations are what make the Pleasant View Carnival a Success! We will start taking donations for Jiffy Jars and Raffle Baskets. What is a Jiffy Jar? It is a small NON-glass container (plastic jar, zip lock bag, etc.) filled with items such as candy, stickers, small toys or school supplies. Please start sending in jiffy jars to your child’s classroom. We will be collecting them until Friday March 22nd.
Carnival Raffle Baskets- Also back is the famous Carnival Raffle baskets. To make this a success each grade is assigned a basket theme below. (However, any donation is welcome!) Themes are:
o K4/K5- Summer Fun/ Activities
o 1st- Baking/ Cooking
o 2nd- Movie/ Game night
o 3rd- Spa / Coffee & Tea
o 4th- Pet Lovers/ Outdoor Grilling
o 5th- Sports / Fitness
Other ways to contribute:
· If you own a business and would like to donate an item or service, we’d love to include your donation and business card!
· Gift Certificates are always popular raffle items. If you know of a business that is willing to donate, please let us know.
Please send any raffle basket contributions to your child’s classroom as soon as possible. The carnival committee will be collecting them from each classroom.
All Donations should be sent to school no later than March 22nd.

TEACHER AND STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week is May 6th - May 10th. The Pleasant View PTO is planning activities and surprises throughout the week. We have provided some opportunities for families that would like to help contribute and say "Thanks" to our amazing teachers and staff.

RELAY FOR LIFE FUNDRAISER FRI 4/26 @ FHS
Franklin High School is proud to host the Relay for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society on Friday, April 26th from 5:30pm-10:30pm. All money raised goes to research, prevention, detection, education, and patient support! It is not a race but a night filled with fun activities and emotion for an amazing cause. FHS has held its own (student-led and planned) Relay for Life for many years and this continues to be a very special event put on by students. We encourage you to learn more about the event by reading through these Frequently Asked Questions and to visit the FHS official Relay for Life website here, where you can pledge, donate or find out how to be actively involved in the event.
