Eastview Update
March 1, 2024
PBIS-Bingo for Books
Our PBIS Bingo for Books reward was a huge success. I want to thank all the PTA volunteers for coming and volunteering and making the event such a huge success. Thank you for all that you do!
Early Release-March 7
This is just a reminder that the district will have an early release day on Thursday, March 7th. Students will start their day at the normal time but will be dismissed from the elementary buildings at noon that day. Dismissal will be the same procedures that we always use, just at noon, instead of 3:20 pm on March 7th.
All students will eat their lunches in their classrooms on March 7th. Lunch will start at 11:25 am and end at 11:50 am. Students will have an opportunity to pack or buy their lunches just like normal. There will be no extras offered on the early release day. If your child wants to buy that day, there will only be one lunch option for the day.
The lunch option for that day will be:
Cinnamon roll
String cheese
Gogurt
Apples
Carrots
Milk
2nd Grade Inview Test-March 4th-6th
All 2nd grade students will be taking the InView Cognitive Abilities Assessment on Monday, March 4th. Please mark this date on your calendar and make every effort to have your child present at school that day.
The Inview score is used in the criteria for entrance into S.O.A.R. For students to be in the SOAR program they need a score at the 95th percentile or higher in Math and/or Reading on the MAP Benchmark Assessment in Grade 2, as well as, a cognitive score of 124 or higher on the Inview Assessment they take. Students who hit both thresholds will be able to participate in a once-weekly, full-day pullout immersion program which includes standards-based enrichment in all content areas, opportunities to participate in competitions, development of critical thinking skills, and county-wide enrichment programs.
Easter Basket Donation
The Eastview Student Council will be collecting items to help CRS fill Easter baskets next week. We will be coming around to classrooms March 6th-8th asking for donations. CRS is in need of any items that would help fill a basket, such as grass, jelly beans, chocolate bunnies, gummies, bubbles, squishies or anything spring related that would fit in a basket. Thank you in advance for your help.
Yearbooks
The Eastview Yearbook 2023-2024 is available to be pre-ordered now. Follow the link below to purchase. Pre-order available through 3/11 only, no sales after this time, so please order ahead if you want one! Students have also been sent home with a paper form. If you would like to order more than one copy, you can order multiple copies under a single child to avoid multiple convenience fees.
**Please note, yearbooks will be SOFT cover this year, hardcover yearbooks were sent by mistake from the printer last year**
