Shout Outs
- Our grade level data teams meet on Thursday. We commend the laser like focus on unpacking power standards and taking steps to develop CFA'ss that match those standards.
- Homeroom teachers and students for demonstrating what the instructional day entails and sharing information to build parent/family capacity to support their children at home.
- Thursday we held our annual vision/hearing screening. The district nurses in attendance sent a collective shout out to our staff and PTO for the hospitality shown to them.
- Shout out to families that attended Wednesday's spirit night at Blimpie's. More than 100 people affiliated with our school supported this effort.
- Miles Mayers (5th Grade) who was recognized Wednesday at the Lake Murray Rotary Club as the student of the month.
Car rider line revisions
Consequently, starting Monday, September 24, second graders will be dropped off and picked up where the current 3rd-5th grade car rider line is. This change should improve the efficiency on the K-1 side. Information has been included in our school newsletter to families. FYI.

Early Release Day
Our first early release of the year. For those new to our district we have three grade levels that will attend related areas. Lunch is also served on this day.
We will have our first staff luncheon on Thursday beginning at 12:15. All are expected to be in attendance as we will share updates on our MSA Conference Visitors that will join us on Thursday, October 4th.

Elementary RtI Meeting
Elementary intervention teams and principals will meet Thursday, September 27th from 9:00 - 12:00. Our intervention will not serve students during that time. Please see Mr. Gantt in my absence if needed.
Inclement Weather Conference Call
Principals and district leaders will hold a conference call this coming Thursday at 2:00. Dr. Melton will solicit input as decisions will be reached regarding make up days. Our director of public information shared options on the table for consideration.
Please feel free to share any insights with me that you wish to be communicated with our Superintendent Dr. Melton that you like to be expressed and considered for this meeting. Following our conference call I anticipate a final decision will be shared shortly thereafter. Stay tuned.
