A Message from Administration
Greetings DLES Community,
It is hard to believe that we have completed the first quarter of the school year. We want to remind everyone that the November attendance competition has begun. We will be providing a reward to the grade that has the highest percentage of perfect attendance (zero absences or tardy days) for the month of November.
Students who had perfect attendance for the first quarter were recognized and given a certificate for this effort. We would like to report the percentage of perfect attendance per grade level for the first quarter.
RECC/PreK- 21% of students had perfect attendance
Kindergarten- 11% of students had perfect attendance
1st Grade- 13% of students had perfect attendance
2nd Grade- 18% of students had perfect attendance
3rd Grade- 19% of students had perfect attendance
4th Grade- 18% of students had perfect attendance
5th Grade- 27% of students had perfect attendance
Which grade will have the highest percentage of attendance for the month of November? It is going to take all of us to achieve our goal of 100% perfect attendance.
As the weather has begun to cool, please make sure that your child is dressed in layers so that they are prepared to be outside in the colder weather. It is recommended that you write your child's first and last name on the inside of your child's jackets and other belongings, so that they can be returned if they are left behind.
Our Lost & Found is overflowing! Please remind your child to look for any items that they might have lost before next Friday, November 10th. We will be clearing out any remaining unclaimed items at the end of the school day on November 10th. If you would like to come to the school and look through the items, prior to us donating them, please stop by the school and take a look. Due to heavy car and foot traffic, we welcome you visit to visit our Lost & Found between the hours of 9:00am-2:30pm or 3:30pm-4:30pm each school day.
Thank you for your continued partnership in making Ducketts Lane a truly amazing place to be each day.
Proudly Serving You,
Mrs. Caroland, Mrs. Van Osdel, and Mrs. Yerashunas
