This year, Teacher Appreciation week is May 6-10, and we would like to treat our Staff and Faculty to an additional luncheon to help motivate them for their hard work throughout the year.
Please help us by sponsoring a staff member's lunch with a $10 donation each. If you wish to purchase additional lunches, just change the quantity when checking out.
***CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR "PET" WINNERS***
Parents,
It’s time to order School Supplies for 2024/25!
We have managed to secure 1st Day School Supplies company to provide and deliver top quality items directly to our students’ homes.
- You spoke and we listened, so this year we have not included hand sanitizer, tissues or paper towels in the packs. Please look out for any requests from individual teachers for these or other items and provide them when required.
- As always, our supply packs do not include pencil bags or planners, as we know Junior High students generally prefer to personalize these items, rather than using the generic ones offered.
- Note: your student will need WIRED earbuds/headphones. If you don't have those already, you will have the option to add them at checkout.
- Includes one BDJH PTA Membership per pack.
- Remember to order for the grade your student will be entering in August 2024.
Click on the link below. (NO extra kits will be sold at Bear Blast this year)

IT'S SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION TIME!
Every local school district is governed by a school board. These school board members (or trustees) are guardians of the public trust; they put the interests of their community's youth first.
Through the policies they make, school board members are ultimately responsible for the success or failure of local public education.
School boards do not manage the district, but oversee the management of the district, and are responsible for:
- Adopting goals and policies that meet state requirements and reflect the needs of the community.
- Hiring & evaluating district superintendent.
- Adopting budget & sets tax rate.
- Communicating with the community.
The Katy ISD School Board has seven trustees, each elected to a three-year term.
The 2024 candidates for Position 6 are Rebecca Fox (incumbent) and Donovan Campbell.
The 2024 candidates for Position 7 Dawn Champagne (incumbent) and David Olson.
The 8th Grade Dance Committee needs your help!
Parents,
We need many helping hands to prepare for the dance. We are having two important workdays:
- The day before the dance, Fri, May 3rd in the LGI. We will start at 9:30 am.
- The day of the dance, Sat, May 4th, from 6:00 -10:30 pm.
If you are able to assist either day, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for all your help to make the dance event happen for our kids,
Meg Jordan and Allison Brownlee
