Principal's Message
As we approach our 4th week of school, we look forward to establishing our routines and transitioning our energy toward academic pursuits. The school day requires considerable energy for young children, with their effort focused on thinking, learning and socializing. For this reason it is very important for students to get good rest, eat well and limit screen time in the evening before school.
Our school day begins at 8:47. If your child is a drop-off, it is extremely important to allow them plenty of time to get into the building. Children need time to put items in their locker, make their lunch selection and get mentally settled before they gather in their group. The start of the day is a very important time for their learning.
There is a general increase in anxiety with students, and as parents, you can help. See the information below for ideas to aid your child's independence and reduce anxiety.

Kroger Shoppers
Hilton is now enrolled in the Kroger Rewards Program. Please support the school by linking us to your Kroger Rewards Card. Our number is 68151 or you can just type our school name in the search window at https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards
Amazon Smile
How fun would it be to shop, while at the same time, earning money for our school? Amazon Smile (https://smile.amazon.com) is through Amazon.com, in which they donate money for most items purchased through their website. The fun part is that the website keeps a running total on your account to see how much money you donate to the school just by shopping with them. Check out this 30 second video to see how you can add a shortcut to your (mobile) home screen to ensure all your Amazon purchases benefit Hilton Elementary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWgglu7ZCDE.
