We Are Lucky To Be A Wildcat!
From The Principal's Desk
February has quickly come and gone and we have been busy on the Wildcat campus. We celebrated the 100th day of school with a scavenger hunt for 100 Wildcats around campus and collected them on a 100's chart outside the office. Our boys' basketball teams held their annual tournament and it was a great weekend of competitive fun. Students and parents purchased Valentine Grams to spread some extra love during the Valentine's holiday and we cheered on some students during the annual Pie in the Face Assembly.
We had an amazing assembly hosted by the Lassen County Office of Education and embarked on a 15-day Kindness Challenge where students were challenged to be Kindness Ninjas and "start small" and "be brave" from motivational speaker Brian Williams. Let us know if you see your students doing small acts of kindness at home or out in the community.
Our eighth graders have been busy beginning their transition to Lassen High School, attending the Freshman Gala and doing class selection for their Freshman year. We can't believe how quickly the year is going! There are resources available if your student is struggling; 4th-8th grade can attend Homework Club, Monday through Thursday from 2:30-3:30pm, and 3rd-8th grade have access to Skooli, one-on-one free tutoring online at home 24/7. We're looking forward to springtime and all of the events that are planned. It's a great day to be a Wildcat!

Love Makes The World Go Round Project
Thank you for your commitment to ensuring our success. Your support for our school brings opportunities that took us beyond our small town. The students gained so much knowledge about our big beautiful world. Maybe someday they will be inspired to travel to see the places we learned about! With close to 300 valentines, we traveled to several other countries and received items from 48 of the 50 states! Not only did we learn about the world around us, but more importantly we learned about kindness, generosity, and friendship. Each heart represents a valentine we received. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
