#WeAreGlowing with pride. Congratulation to Daniel Longoria from Hawkins High School! He has been selected to receive the Spectrum News 1 Academic Scholarship Award of $1000 towards his college expenses. Daniel is editor-in-chief of the school newspaper (Advocate News), Varsity Football player, volunteers assisting teachers on campus, as well as participates in VEX IQ Robotics Build where high school students mentor elementary schools who are participating in a statewide competition. Hawkins High hosted all of the competitions this school year and Daniel volunteered his weekends and evenings for four months. He is more than a star athlete. He is also a star human being.
