Keep Personal Information Secret
When you are online don't share your information to anyone, even your friends. If you do, other internet users can use this information to find you or to hack onto your devices.
Digital Etiquette/Netiquette
Digital Etiquette is the same thing as normal etiquette but you are online. It is about having manners and being kind.
Social Networking
Social Networking is connecting with friends and their friends and so on. It's like a big chain joined by different people. Be careful what you post because it can be sent to other people!
Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying is when people bully you online with mean comments or pictures. It is the exact same as bullying but online and it can really hurt people's feelings.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is copying someone else's work and using it as yours. It's like copying someone on a test. If you are caught you will be in big trouble. It is okay to use the key words but not copying and pasting the whole sentence.
Being Popular
When you are online don't use fake identities just to be popular. Be original, be yourself. Your friends should like you for who you really are not a fake personality.
Reliable Websites
You should always check more than one website when doing research. Many websites may look very real but are fake. Be careful on which websites you choose.
Getting Permission
If you want to post a picture online with your friend in it you must always get permission from them because they or their parents might not want you to post the photo. Maybe your friend might think it is embarrassing so get permission first!
Blogs
Blogs are online diaries or journals. It is a place where you can post diary entries and others can comment on them. In 1994 a student named Justin Hall started and online diary and now he is sometimes named the first blogger.
