A Message From Dr. Flowers- Principal
Dear Families:
We have had a fantastic week here at Brimfield Elementary! Our kindergarten students successfully completed their biking unit, and we were delighted to welcome family members to witness their achievements.
Additionally, we successfully wrapped up our canned food drive. With your incredible support, we collected 4008 cans, greatly benefiting The Brimfield Food Cupboard. Thank you for your generosity!
Just a friendly reminder: there will be no school on Tuesday, March 19th. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Warm Regards,
Barb Flowers

Eclipse Day April 8, 2024
All students will be sent home with eclipse glasses after spring break.
There will be NO SCHOOL on April 8, 2024.
What safety precautions should be taken to view the eclipse?
With the exception of the very brief total phase of a total solar eclipse, when the Moon completely blocks the Sun's bright face, it is not safe to look directly at the Sun unless you are using eye protection specifically for solar viewing. Do not view any part of the bright Sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the secured over the front of the instrument as this may instantly cause severe eye injury. Homemade filters or ordinary sunglasses, even very dark ones, are not safe for looking at the sun. They transmit thousands of times too much sunlight and could damage the eyes.
Spring Picture Day is April 12, 2024

PBIS CORNER
What is PBIS?
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports is an important part of the school environment to encourage positive behavior. There are clear expectations throughout the school that are taught consistently throughout the year. The four expectations promoted at Field Local Schools are:
Safe
Outstanding
Accountable
Respectful
When students do not respond to teaching of the building or classroom expectations, we will view it as an opportunity for re-teaching, not just negative consequences. Students still receive consequences for negative behavior. The goal of the consequence is to teach students so they will not repeat the negative behavior.
