Administrative Message
As part of our celebration of our success in achieving our "Breakthrough" campus status, this week (Oct 1st -Oct. 5th) you may wear jeans (No holes) with the appropriate shirt as outlined on the attached flyer. Let's continue to keep our focus this year as we "Turn Up the Heat to 85 Degrees". The common assessment data indicates that we are off to a go start with regard to teacher effectiveness and student achievement.
I believe if each of us stay focused that we can move to the next level, "Accomplished". Our success during the past school year attests to what we can do as a TEAM when we work hard and work together. It is important that grades K-2 improve student performance on both the TerraNova/Supera and the ACP exams. Grades 3-5 will need to ramp of the rigor as students take the ACP and STAAR exams. Both the TerraNova and STAAR are weighted equally as it relates to our campus performance and your individual TEI scores. Team we can be the highest performing school in our feeder pattern. We have the expertise I am sure. The question that we must each answer is, do we have the "will" and the "stamina" to go the distance. The leadership team is committed to supporting your efforts 100% and we will challenge you to your breaking point. Our students deserve our very best. We must do whatever it takes to ensure their success. Have a great week and dress for success as we celebrate our "Breakthrough"!
Data Meetings
Data meetings will take place on Tuesday during your PLC time. Please bring your binders, assessment data, profiles sheets and a copy of the assessment along with work samples.Be ready to discuss what went well and areas that needs improvement.
Social Emotional Learning Components
We are asking that every teacher implements the Respect Agreement as well. You can implement a classroom Respect Agreement in which the class collaborates and helps to develop or you can have each student to fill one out and include it in their portfolios.
For those students who are having a few more challenges than others please use the following link to document discipline concerns.
