Staff Spotlight - Clayton Deaver
Staff Spotlight - Katie Hewitt
Mrs. Hewitt graduated from Comfort High School and then went on to play softball at Howard Payne University where she received a degree in Mathematics. It was there that she met her husband Hayden Hewitt who now teaches here at Burnet High School. They just celebrated their 9th anniversary and welcomed their third son this past August. They have identical twin boys named Connor and Cooper that are in kindergarten and baby Weston is about to be 5 months old. This is Mrs. Hewitt’s 9th year in education and she has spent all 9 of them here in Burnet teaching Math and coaching earlier in her career. Mrs. Hewitt recently graduated from Angelo State University with her masters degree and now teaches Dual Credit classes here on campus. Mrs. Hewitt believes that all students can learn when given the opportunity and strives to change students’ mind sets about their own abilities and what they are capable of. Most of her hobbies these days consist of toddler or baby activities and her main goal in life is to hopefully instill a love of Christ in her children. She does enjoy outdoor activities like fishing and hunting, all things sports, and crafts such as making signs and building or redoing furniture, all of which the boys love to be part of.
