- Congratulations to Terry Tibbitts. She has been nominated as Linden Elementary Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year. She and her husband are invited to attended the annual dinner on November 8th at Camp Copenconic.

LE Assessment Window (Strategic Plan: 1C) Linden Elementary have started with our fall assessments in Kindergarten Readiness Assessment ( KRA), NWEA and Developmental Reading Assessments (DRA). Data from these assessments will be analyzed and used to help make intervention decisions for our students.
LE/HE Vision & Hearing Screenings (Strategic Plan:1A) Linden Elementary held a fall hearing and vision screening for new students as well as hearing screenings for all kindergarten students.
LE Staff Meeting (Strategic Plan: 5B) Linden Elementary met for our first staff meeting this week. Review of start of essentials, NWEA progress etc...
LE Positivity Project (Strategic Plan: 1A, 1E) Linden Elementary will continue with Positivity Project again this year focusing on a different character strength each week. This week was “Other People Matter.”
LE SOAR Kickoff (Strategic Plan: 1A) Linden Elementary had a wonderful first couple weeks of school. On Friday we kicked off our SOAR campaign with a visit from Tuffy. Our building matrix has been practiced in the classroom and throughout the building.
LE KRA (Strategic Plan: 1C) Young 5 and Kindergarten staff began implementing the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. Our intervention staff is working with our teachers to complete the required assessments. All data is collected in an online data manager and reports will provide individual student readiness levels.
LE 1st Week Back (Strategic Plan: ) Linden Elementary had a great start to a new year. Students and staff are learning new routines and procedures and are settling in nicely. Staff has done a tremendous job getting their classrooms ready and preparing for the arrival of their new students. We look forward to a terrific year.
LE Open House (Strategic Plan: 5C) Our open house was a huge success and well attended. Special Thank You goes out to the custodial staff from making the building look fantastic. It was great to see the students back in the building.
LE/HE/CE Edward Jones collects school supplies (Strategy: 4A) Local business (Edward Jones) collected school supplies from the community. The supplies were divided between all three elementary schools and will be distributed to students as needed as well as individual classrooms.
LE Reading Recovery (Strategic Plan: 1C) Intervention staff have completed their screening process with First grade students and have identified those students needing extensive one to one intervention.
LE Linden Leaders (Strategic Plan: 1B) Classrooms have begun to recognize a Linden Leader each week. These students receive privileges and jobs throughout the building and classroom. We celebrate their leadership on a board in our main hallway.
LE Grandparents Day (Strategic Plan: 5B) Linden Elementary 1st grade classrooms hosted a Grandparents Day this past week. It was great to see our grandparents!
LE PALS Meeting (Strategic Plan: 1E, 4A) Linden Elementary PALS hosted their first PALS meeting. We will be doing another Color Run this year in the spring. Other activities for the year; Spirit Wear sale, Popcorn Friday, Family Movie Nights, Cookie Dough, Buffalo Wild Wings Fundraiser, Santa shop, Winter Blast, Trunk or Treat and Box Tops. PALS also provided staff with a Welcome Back Breakfast this week.
LE Boy Scout Visit (Strategic Plan: 1D) Boy Scout Representative Garrett Darby made a visit to our classrooms this week to get students excited about joining.
