Language Arts/ Social Studies: In language arts we will continue exploring and setting up our reader's and writer's workshops. In writing, students are learning how to stretch out words to write a sentence or story. We will create stories that have a beginning, middle, and end, and will share our writing in the author's chair. In reading, we will begin our guided reading groups, and students will begin bringing home one leveled book a week to practice at home. Please look for these books in the plastic pocket of the take home binder. We will also be learning to connect with our reading by making text to self connections.

-Writing first name correctly on lined paper with only the first letter capitalized
-Correctly identifying and writing letters
