Piercing the Night by and Unknown Author
Moonlight softly touches me with its glimmer
Glowing gently, waking me from my slumber
Thoughts of him start piercing me in the darkness
Memories take me
Floating on the fog between real and dreaming
Feelings come I thought were in past existence
Wishing on a star in the silent distance
Wanting him near me
Why does Piercing The Night demonstrate stanza?
This poem demonstrates stanza. The bolded text is stanza one and the unbolded text is stanza two. In this poem it is easy to see that the stanzas are equal. It clearly shows how stanza poetry has a fixed length.
