Kindergarten Registration 2019-20
We look forward to welcoming our new kindergarten students to McKenzie School each August. We host kindergarten registration in January to give parents earlier notice of whether their child will be assigned to the morning or afternoon session. All children who turn five by September 1, 2019 must be registered, even those enrolled in the District’s Connecting Kids Preschool or with siblings in D39.
Registration will take place at each elementary school during the following dates and times in January for parents to come in and register their child(ren). The necessary forms are posted online and can be completed in advance.
- Thursday, January 17th: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Friday, January 18th: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Parents need to come into school to register their child(ren), bringing along an original copy of their child’s birth certificate and two documents that provide proof of residency (details online).
A lottery will be held on January 24th to determine morning and afternoon kindergarten placements, with parents notified thereafter via email.

THANK YOU
Thank you iGNITE! for providing our students with such wonderful enrichment activities. The third graders recently enjoyed the Flamenco Show from Ensemble Español. There were three types of dances; classical, folkloric and Sevilliana. The students also learned how to make their own flamenco music by clapping and with castanets. The students were blown away by how talented all the dancers were. Thank you to all the families who have contributed. This performance was possible because of your donations!
