A Message from Mrs. Steger & Mrs. Foeckler
The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and 70 degrees weather is here!!
The end of the school year is in sight!!! How exciting is that!!!
However, with that sunshine, it can sometimes make it very difficult to stay focused on the screen in front of us in order to do school. It is really important to stay the course right now and continue to do your best in each of your classes!!!
With the end approaching, we are heavily focused on fall scheduling! So far, related to scheduling, we have held grade level class connects, drop-in sessions for questions or to review your selections, individual conferences to discuss options, and specific pathway discussions in homerooms. At this point, if you plan on returning in the fall, please continue to work on course selection in Xello or reach out to your counselor for guidance.
Seniors – please review the graduation status update emails that you receive from us to ensure that you have completed all requirements necessary for graduation. You are so close to the finish line!!!

GREEN DESIGN COURSE
Students in Ms. Krueger's Green Design course have been learning ways to be more sustainable by growing their own indoor hydroponic gardens! Students were able to choose what type of herb or vegetable they wanted to grow. After about 9 weeks of growing, we have had some great successes, and some students have been able to harvest their gardens to enjoy at home.
JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT
Billy Brazier and Katie Jacobson, competed in the Junior Achievement Titan Challenge on March 13, securing the 8th position out of 60 competing students. The Titan Challenge, an exhilarating competition aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and business skills among high school students, Billy and Katie formed a team called B&K Enterprise navigating the complexities of running a simulated cell phone business.
Throughout the intense competition, participants were tasked with managing various aspects of their virtual business, including budgeting, research and development, sales projections, marketing strategies, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Billy and Katie exhibited remarkable teamwork and strategic prowess as they maneuvered through the 12 timed rounds of the challenge.
One of the key challenges the duo faced was striking a delicate balance between upgrading their phone, setting competitive selling prices, and identifying target demographics for effective marketing. Despite the pressure, Billy and Katie approached each round with meticulous planning and a keen eye for detail.
The success of B&K Enterprise can be attributed to their collaborative efforts in analyzing data, studying sales trends, and closely monitoring competitor strategies. Their ability to adapt to dynamic market conditions and make informed decisions set them apart from their peers, ultimately propelling them to a commendable 8th place finish.
