Is Drunk Driving Worth it?

Money Wasted
After a drunk driving accident happens, 51 million dollars are spent on the aftermath of the crash. People not even involved in a accident end up helping to pay the 132 billion dollars of the yearly price caused by drunk drivers. This causes insurance policies to rise 4% per year for every accident caused by a drunk drivers.
Innocent People Could be Injured
People walking or in other cars could be injured by drunk drivers. Of the 1,149 traffic deaths among children ages 0-14 years old in 2013, 200 (17%) were involved in a drunk driving accident. In Michigan alone, 87 innocent victims are killed each year.
Bad Influence to Younger Generation
10% of licensed drivers under the age of 21 are responsible for the 17% of fatal related accidents. 60% of all teen deaths in car accidents are alcohol related. This is also an alarming amount of family related drunk driving accidents. In a family of five, the chances of one of those five family members being in a drunk driving related accident is an astounding 200 percent.
Drunk Driving is 100% Preventable
The saddest part is is that drunk driving is 100% preventable, but people still drive drunk. Call a friend, spend the night, or don't drink when you have to drive, it's not worth it.
