From the Principal:
Dear Families,
During conference week, we asked parents/families to complete a survey, to ask about your experience at Midland this year. Your feedback is very helpful to us as we reflect upon the past year and plan for the coming year. As of this writing, here are the results:
- 62 responses
- 94% report their child wants to come to school
- 98% report their child feels connected to at least one student at school
- 94% report school staff communicate with warmth, care, and inclusion
- 98% report their child feels connected to at least one adult at school
- 97% report their child feels safe (intellectually, physically, socially) at school
- 97% report teachers and staff build trusting relationships with their family
- 95% report teachers and staff treat families as equal partners in educating their child
Thank you also for your comments. I have read each one and appreciate both your encouragement and constructive suggestions. It is our goal to meet the needs of each student and family. I welcome your feedback throughout the year, so please do not hesitate to contact me. (ph: 253-298-4501, pdawson@fpschools.org.)
As we start wrapping up the year, I want to share my appreciation to our families. You have had to make many adjustments this year as we navigated through the COVID restrictions. While it was challenging in many ways, overall it was a great year of learning for our students. Thank you for the MANY ways you helped your child learn and grow this year.
It's great to be a MUSTANG!
