The ARC
The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
The Arc’s Center for Future Planning has developed a series of new videos on the following topics:

The Arc recently shared a new Virtual Program Library, a free hub full of on-demand activities that can be done from home by people with disabilities, their families, and service providers.
Topics include arts, community and life skills, health and wellness, virtual clubs, and more. Visit the hub to check out the resources added so far and share it with your networks so it can continue to grow into a robust resource for people with disabilities and their supporters!

How Assistive Technology can Impact Employment
This session will describe assistive technology resources and their application in employment services and outcomes. Strategies for consideration before employment to increase expectations and enhance access to integrated competitive employment will be presented. Assistive technology uses on the job to assist with completing work responsibilities and promoting quality performance will be discussed.
Emphasis will focus on implementation practices that shift the use of technology as a first option in decision-making throughout the employment process. Case study illustrations will highlight examples of the impact and benefits of assistive technology in the workplace.

Kate Nolan, NP, is the Founder and Director of The KIND Clinic at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. The KIND Clinic specializes in gynecologic care for women, 21 years or older, with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Learn about PAAble Accounts
Free webinar for individuals with disabilities, families, and professionals.
A PA ABLE Savings Program account gives individuals with qualified disabilities (Eligible Individuals), and their families and friends a tax-free way to save for a wide range of disability-related expenses while maintaining government benefits. The state and federal tax-free investment options are offered to encourage Eligible Individuals and their families to save private funds to support health, independence, and quality of life.
To help you learn about the important features and benefits of PA ABLE, the Pennsylvania Treasury Department is hosting free webinars.
Some of the topics that we will discuss include: eligibility requirements for opening a PA ABLE account, the federal and state tax benefits of PA ABLE, and how PA ABLE account interacts with current benefits.
