Principal's Note
Dear Colonial Park Families -
I hope everyone has had a fun and relaxing February vacation. It's a special week, with Thursday, February 29 our first Leap Day since 2020!
Tomorrow, classroom teachers will be sending out links to sign up for March conferences. Conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 6, from 4:00 to 7:00pm, and on Thursday, March 7, from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Families will be offered both a virtual and in-person option. Please contact your child's teacher if you do not receive communication tomorrow regarding conferences. Report cards and Progress Reports will be sent home on Monday, March 4.
Third and fourth grade families, please take note of this year's MCAS dates for both Math and English Language Arts. Our students in grades 3 and 4 will be testing on the following days:
ELA
Grade 4: Monday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 10
Grade 3: Tuesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 11
Math
Grade 4: Monday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 15
Grade 3: Tuesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 16
Colonial Park will celebrate National Reading Month with a Spirit Week on March 18 through March 22. This year, our PTO has scheduled two visiting authors! Alicia Ramsdell, author of The One and Only Incredible Me will be visiting our PK-2 students on Tuesday, March 19, and Jen Malone, www.jenmalonewrites.com/books, will be working with our students in Grades 3 and 4 on Friday, March 22. Attached to this newsletter, please find the flyer for our Spirit Week.
Since March starts on Friday, I am also attaching the March Elementary Lunch Menu. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

*Trivia Night - The Colonial Park and South School PTOs are hosting an ADULT ONLY Trivia Night on Sunday, 3/3 at Lord Hobo Brewing Company, 5 Draper Street in Woburn from 6:00-10:00 pm. Trivia begins at 6:30pm.
Tickets are $15 each. Food and beverages (including non-beer and non-alcohol options) will be available for purchase. No outside food/drink is allowed. We're looking forward to a fun night of trivia and raffles!

Voting is open until the end of the day tomorrow, February 26. The winner will be announced on February 27, and will get their very own pizza featured on Pizza Mia's menu on February 29! The winner will receive a free pizza (their creation) courtesy of PTO. If you're looking for delicious takeout, please support Pizza Mia on February 29! A portion of sales that mention Colonial Park will come back to support our school.
*Fun Run - T-shirt sizes needed! We are excited to host our 4th Fun Run on Friday, April 12! In preparation for this great event, we need to collect T-shirt sizes from all of our students. Please fill out this form by the end of this week. All students will receive a Fun Run shirt at no charge to wear during the Fun Run. Save the Date - Fourth Grade Moving On Ceremony
It is hard to believe our fourth graders will be with us at Colonial Park for less than four more months! We will be celebrating them with our Moving On Ceremony on Wednesday, June 5, at 9:00am. Fourth grade families, save the date!
