what are the six simple machines?
The six simple machines are a lever, pulley, wheel and axle, wedge, screw and lastly inclined plane. These six simply machines help us everday and sometimes we don't even notice it.
Lever
A lever is made by a ridged bar that supports a fulcrum.
An example of a lever is siccors.
pulley
A pulley is a wheel attached to a cable/belt that changes the direction of the object attached to the cable.
An example of a pulley is a flag pole.
Screw
A screw is a inclined plane wrapped around a rod.
An example of a screw is a screw driver
Wheel and axle
A wheel and axle is a simple lifting machine, attached to a rope that can unwind to a wheel onto a cylindrical drum.
An example of a wheel and axle is a door nob
Inclined plane
An inclined plane is tilited flat surface.
An example is a ramp.
Wedge
A wedge is a flat triangular shaped tool,and is a portable inclined plane.
An example is a knife.
