Mother Goose on the Loose: Superstar!
As any early childhood educator will tell you, repetition is so important for toddlers' brain development. Emmalyn, long-time MGOL attendee, anticipates so many of our songs and rhymes and starts doing the hand motions before we even begin singing. She is a MGOL superstar!
Mother Goose on the Loose, a program for infants and toddlers, is offered twice a week at the library: Wednesdays & Thursdays at 9:30am.

Build Skills Every Day
Little interactions every day can add up to a BIG foundation for learning.
- Talk: Describe food as you eat a meal. "This carrot is crunchy." "This jam is sticky."
- Sing: Sing a song about the weather. Extra points if you make it up yourself!
- Read: Ask, "What do you think will happen next?" before you turn the page.
- Write: Write a list of things to do today. Have your child cross off each one when it's done.
- Play: Sit on a pillow and pretend it's a boat. Where will you go? What will you do?
Go Ahead... Sing!
(Tune: Down by the Station)
Out in the garden, early in the springtime,
See the little sunflowers standing in a row.
See the happy farmer giving them some water,
Slurp, slurp, slurp, slurp, weed and hoe!
Out in the garden, later in the summer,
See the giant sunflowers standing in a row.
See the happy farmer giving them some water,
Slurp, slurp, slurp, slurp, watch them grow!
