Colt Round Up

"Kindness is like snow; it beautifies everything it covers." - K. Gibran
With Appreciation:
- Kudos to Annie for facilitating a quick student exit out of the MPR on Wednesday morning! I think there might be consensus that moving students by grade level is the way to do it - maybe we should think about that across the board for morning, recess and lunch/recess for the spring?
- Thanks to everyone who contributed to our potluck on Friday. Yum yum! Thanks to Annie for coordinating!
- Rob, you are a rock star - the winter season is upon us and you have gotten us ready for everything we needed with a friendly smile!
- Bravo to Shelly for her effort in coordinating our Choir's participation in the Lincoln Tree Lighting ceremony - they sounded beautiful!

PBIS Update
Kristen and I have enjoyed the chance to connect with some of our students in grades 2, 3 and 5 who earned referrals this month - we've been focusing less on the choices we made and more on what we can do gong forward. We've been reviewing the idea of bucketfilling and bucket dipping. Grades K and 4 - let us know when you plan your 'no referral celebration" and if you need us to work with your non-participants!
iReady data Checkin
This week we started the 2nd iReady Diagnostic in Reading and Math. Please schedule time to get these assessments completed before Winter Break. If your families had questions about the iReady program during conferences, please encourage them to attend our parent gathering focused on iReady on Thurs., 12/6. We'll offer duplicate sessions at 8:15 am and at 5:30 pm in the MPR.
All the details are on our website (lces.wpusd.org > Parents > Connect with your Child's Education > iReady) or send them to our calendar or here:
