Bolivar Buzz
March 2024
Dear Families,
Happy March! We are 'marching' into the month with our trunks FULL of perishable items for the Sullivan Food Cupboard. Thank you so very much for participating in our Share the Love event during the month of February! Classrooms competed to bring in the most items for the Sullivan Food Cupboard, with many gathering hundreds of items! Our winner will be announced next week and the deserving classroom will receive a special reward!
March is a long and busy month here at Bolivar Road. We will be celebrating Music in our Schools Month, participating in the highly anticipated March Madness tournament, welcoming visitors for Agricultural Literacy Week and starting our Spring Enrichment Clubs!
Even though we will be welcoming the official start of spring this month, Central New York weather often has other plans, so continue to send in outdoor gear that is appropriate to the temperature and weather. We want students to get as much outdoor playtime as possible and in order for them to do so they need to be prepared.
As always, do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns or feedback.
Thank you for your continued support, Chittenango is a truly wonderful community!

March Madness Fruits vs. Veggies Tournament
The Tournament starts on March 12!
This encourages students to try fruits and vegetables and encourages healthy eating. Different grade levels will participate in different "games." The students get to try the fruits or vegetables and then pick the one they like the best! You will see brackets come home so be sure to sit down and fill them out with your child. Last year, Pineapple outscored Cucumber in the championship! We will find out our winner on March 22nd!
