The B.Y.E. Buzz
Week of February 15th
Principal Corner
Happy Valentine's Day! It looks like tomorrow, Monday, February 15th, is an at-home learning day. We will NOT have choice boards. Since ALL students have their devices, they will have a required class zoom for a daily lesson, activities in their LMS (SeeSaw or GoogleClassroom), and Lexia or ST Math. Teachers will also be meeting with students in small groups virtually. Please make sure your child attends the zoom for the live daily lesson.
Thank you for your patience with remote learning days. It looks like the weather might be bad again this week. Students brought home devices. Devices are to be used for school purposes ONLY. In the event of remote learning, students will Zoom with their teacher daily, have assignments to complete on Google Classroom or SeeSaw, and complete expected Lexia and ST Math minutes. Teachers can monitor student usage on their devices. Students will not be allowed to take their devices home if they are not used in the correct way. Thank you for monitoring and helping us with the school devices.
There are a few important events coming up that we wanted to make sure you were aware of:
3/1/21- Kindergarten Enrollment (see more information below)
3/1-3/5- Dr. Seuss Week- we will have a book character dress-up day and outdoor parade for parents to attend.

3/5/21- Color Run- Parents will be invited to watch the run.

Covid Links
We work hard to protect all staff and students at BYE. Last semester we had 20 positive Covid cases. This is less than 1% of our Young family. We will continue following safety protocol this semester. If at any time your child is positive for Covid, please go to the site below and complete the form titled Student/Staff Covid 19 Positive. If your child has been exposed to Covid, please go to the site below and complete the form titled Student/Staff Covid 19 Household Exposure. The site is: sdale.org/covid
Thank you for your help with keeping us safe.
