April Eagle News 2024
College and Career Fair
Our inaugural College and Career Day is approaching on April 18, 2024! This event is integral to our Academic & Career Planning, providing students with educational opportunities and insights into various career paths.
Freshmen and Sophomores will begin the day with state PreACT Secure testing in the morning, followed by the College and Career Fair in the afternoon, where they can engage with representatives from various institutions and industries. Additionally, they'll attend informative sessions about potential career pathways.
Juniors will participate in the College and Career Fair in the morning, before leaving for college tours to gain exposure to different campuses and programs to inform their future educational decisions.
Seniors will have a virtual presentation on graduation and post-secondary planning, complete a state-required survey, and have the opportunity to explore the College and Career Fair from 8:00-9:30am. This day will also allow Seniors time to focus on coursework and individual academic or career planning needs.
College and Career Day promises to be enriching and impactful for all students, equipping them with the knowledge and resources to chart their paths toward success. We encourage all students to approach this day with curiosity, enthusiasm, and an open mind as they explore the possibilities that lie ahead. Students can reach out to their school counselor with any questions.
Sincerely,
Nick Skretta, Principal

Dear Parents,
Wisconsin Students in Grades 3-10 will be participating in the Forward assessment during the March 20 – April 28, 2023 testing window. Tenth graders are scheduled to take the Forward Exam on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 (see schedule on next page).
Students in grades 10 will take a social studies assessment with 60 questions. Although the test is untimed, most students will complete the test in 90 minutes. It is very important that your son or daughter be in school during this time. Students not in school on the scheduled test day will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window.
Please reference the Informational Brochure for Families which provides additional information about the assessment including its purpose, what scores will be provided, and how the scores will be used.
The Forward assessment measures the knowledge and skills your student(s) should have acquired by the time they reach each grade level. Their performance on the assessment will not affect any of their current grades. Please encourage your son or daughter to take the test seriously and do the best they can.
If you have any questions, please contact Shannon Mooney at (920) 675-1126.
Thank you,
Nicholas Skretta, Principal

PreACT Secure
Dear Parents,
All 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the PreACT Secure on Thursday, April 18. The PreACT Secure is a statewide assessment designed to support students and stakeholders in understanding how a student would likely perform on the ACT and how prepared the student is for first-year college courses. The primary uses of the PreACT Secure are to monitor progress toward college and career readiness, to predict performance on the ACT college entrance exam, and to identify academic gaps and areas for improvement.
If you have any questions or would like to meet to discuss how the PreACT Secure assessment is used in conjunction with post-secondary readiness, please feel free to contact your student’s counselor.
