Holy Relics of St. Anthony Tour
From Feb. 19-29, St Anthony will be visiting Houston, Texas in the form of two relics, one of which is the one Pope Francis venerated sixteen years ago in Argentina.
This relic will be accompanied by Fr Mario Conte, a Franciscan Friar from Padua, Italy where the Saint is buried. Read more and see where you may venerate the relics of St. Anthony.
Let's get ready to run!
It's almost time for Steps for Students 2016 on Saturday, Feb. 20! Our very own CtRCS Chorus Redemptoris will sing at the 6:30 a.m. Mass prior to the start of the race at the Archdiocesan Co-Cathedral! Your generosity and dedication means that Team CtR is currently one of the top area Catholic schools in registration and donations on the leader board! Let's keep up the pace, Team CtR! Cheer on Fr. Sean, Fr. Ralph or Fr. Sebastine and donate to support their effort to get to the finish line on race day! Questions? Please contact Megan at steps@ctrschool.com. Thank you for making this another great year for Team CtR at Steps for Students!

CtRCS celebrates Catholic Schools Week 2016
CtRCS is preparing to celebrate Catholic Schools Week 2016 with a week of special events celebrating our faith, parish community and Catholic education! Please plan to attend and have your child wear their uniform to Mass Saturday, Jan. 30 or at any of the Masses on Sunday, Jan. 31. Our choir will perform at the 11 a.m. Mass. The rest of our week includes the following events to celebrate Catholic education:
Monday, Feb. 1: Vocations Day - CtRCS will celebrate Vocations with speakers from our parish and around the Archdiocese! The panel will feature a priest, deacon, married couple, seminarian and single person discussing their commitment to the Church at their place in life. Speakers will visit with the younger students and will participate on the panel for upper grades.
Tuesday, Feb. 2: 9:30 a.m. Living Rosary - Our Living Rosary allows CtRCS students to become the rosary as each student represents a bead. It is a prayerful, reflective time for our CtRCS community. Parents, parishioners and CtR staff are invited to join us at 9:30 a.m. in the CtR Church.
Wednesday, Feb. 3: Grandparent’s Day - Grandparents are invited to attend Mass with students and then stick around for refreshments and classroom visits. Grandparents should arrive in the church at 8 a.m. Please RSVP for Grandparents' Day and send in photos of your student with their grandparent by Wednesday, Jan. 27 to grandparents@ctrschool.com
Thursday, Feb. 4: 10-1 p.m. Open House - experience firsthand how CtRCS uses technology in the classroom and also to get a feel for the faith-filled environment at CtR Catholic School. You will also have the opportunity to meet Principal Betty Sierra and ask the teachers questions.
Friday, Feb. 5: Souper Bowl Day and Evening Vespers - Students can break out their favorite team jerseys or T-shirts to close out our week of celebrating Catholic schools! Students also bring a canned good today to donate to Cypress Assistance Ministries. Also, an especially exciting event this evening is our choir, Chorus Redemptoris, will be performing the Pueri Cantores in collaboration with St. Theresa Catholic School Choir. At 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, the students will sing Vespers, including the Magnificat, an experience that will surely bring the students, parents and parishioners together to celebrate Catholic schools.
Come and celebrate Catholic education with us! Questions? Contact Megan Dillingham.
