Message from Mr. Burns
Hi Wims Families,
This is a reminder that students or staff will not be in-person tomorrow for the MCPS Asynchronous Day. More information can be found below.
Have a great evening!

Asynchronous Day
This is a reminder that there is no in-person school on Monday, April 22. This will be an asynchronous learning day for students. This is not virtual learning with the teacher present via Zoom; instead, students will have access to a variety of learning activities. Please click on the link below for the various choice board activities for the students to access while at home. These activities are to allow student choice, as well as flexibility based on your families schedule. All students will be marked present unless parents let us know otherwise.
In addition, our teachers will be engaged in asynchronous professional development on Monday; therefore, they will not be available throughout the day.

IF YOU ARE A PERFORMER, please note the time adjustment for both Thursday (dress rehearsal) and Friday (showtime!) - Dress rehearsal and the show itself will both start at 6pm. Performers are to arrive no later than 5pm. Please note that dress rehearsal is mandatory for all performers.
JOIN US! Please come out and support our talented Wildcats! Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required. Doors open at 5:30pm. Concessions (popcorn, candy, chips, and drinks) will be available, which support the PTA. Register here to attend.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED at the Variety Show. This is an important evening for the students who are working so hard to prepare their acts. If you can find some time to volunteer, it would be so appreciated! We need your help to manage a successful event!
May 6th begins Staff Appreciation Week at Wims! Each day during the week, the PTA and school will be doing something to thank our wonderful teachers and staff for all they do for our students. We are seeking gift card donations for a fun gift card raffle! They can be of any variety but must be limited to $20-25 each. Please sign up to donate a gift card or two if you are able - we would love for every staff member to take home a gift card.
Finally, please mark your calendars for our May PTA meeting on Tuesday 5/7 at 6:30 in the Media Center - we will be electing a new Treasurer and Secretary for the 2024-26 term and we need the vote of our membership - details coming soon!
Have a Wonderful Wildcat Week!
