March is Reading Month
...and it is right around the corner.
MA Celebrates in a million ways for a million reasons.
March is one of the most fun months of the year. Whether it be reading in the gym on a sleeping bag, or having a older "buddy" to read with, students remember Reading Month events for years to come.
That's because our focus has always been that this month promotes the love of reading. From Pre-K to the Seniors there are fun events for everyone all month long because readers are leaders. We will be kicking off reading month on March 4th, and introducing this year's theme..."Reading is Music to Our Ears!" At the end of the month, we will conclude with a "Grammy Awards" ceremony to celebrate students who reach their grade level reading goals for the number of minutes they have read.
In this newsletter I will attempt to compile all of our special events in one place so everyone is in the know.

On March 14th elementary students will bring a blanket, pillow, or stuffie to use while reading. HS and MS students may go down to help read with the little ones.
