Since 3 yrs old Anastasia was engaged with various sports, like rythmic gymnastics, figure skating and dancing. She started swimming when she was 6. Anastasia Davydova was a chairperson of the council for assistance before she became a swimmer.
At her very first majour competiton in Japan, she won her very first medal when she was 18, and she came second. She won medals in the duet competition with Anastasia Ermakova at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and was part of the Russian gold medal team in 2004 and 2008.
Then for some time Anastasia left swimming and before the world cup in 2011, she was following the competition from the stands. But gathering strength, Anastasia returned into the sport. At the Olympic games in London the champion took part in the group competitions. The Russian synchronized swimmers took the first prize, and Anastasia became the fifth-time owner of the Olympic gold medal.
After that, and athlete declared the end of her sports career. Now Anastasia is the vice-president of the Russian Olympic Committee and trains the future generation of synchronized swimmers.
