Do you have any unneeded medications at home?
According to the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, two-thirds of teens who misused pain relievers in the past year say they got them from family and friends and from home medicine cabinets. Safe disposal makes medicines less available.
FREE disposal boxes are available 7 days per week, 24 hours per day and are in the lobbies of the police departments in Faribault (closed during COVID) and Northfield, as well as the Rice County Sheriff’s office. In addition, Allina Health District One Pharmacy in Faribault has a free disposal box which is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
For more information, go to www.ricecountycmhc.org or call 507-664-3524.
