Congratulations to our BPA Students!
On February 28-March 2, 2024 Health Professions had 36 students competing in the BPA State Leadership Conference. We want to congratulate our students for their hard work and dedication. Health Professions is also proud to carry on the Regional President legacy from Alfia Bilal (2023-2024 School Year) to Dylan Kim (2024-2025 School Year). Congratulations, HP BPA!!! We are so proud of you all!! 🎉😁
Congratulations to our Coca-Cola Scholar, Alfia Bilal!
We are proud to announce Alfia Bilal as our Coca-Cola Scholar! Alfia is the only student in the Rio Grande Valley receiving this prestigious award, and we are so honored to recognize her achievement!
Less than 1/6th of 1% of applicants were chosen to receive this extremely competitive award. These 150 students, who were selected from an initial pool of 103,800+ applications from across the country, not only exemplify superior leadership, service, and academics, they are change agents, positively affecting others in their communities.

Spring Campus Showcase - Saturday, April 13
Please join us for our campus spring showcase on Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. This event is open to the public. All families interested in joining Health Professions are welcome to attend!

Upcoming TSI Test Sessions
ACT Test Coming Soon - Tuesday, March 26 (11th Grade Students Only)
Our 11th grade students will be taking their ACT on March 26, 2024. A review session will be provided to our students who wish to sign up. The review session will take place at Health Professions on Saturday, March 23rd from 8:30 - 12:30 pm. Transportation will be provided.
CTE Program of Studies
The counseling department would like to share our CTE program of studies and potential career opportunities for our students. Please see the flyer below for more information.
SEL Information
SEL (Social Emotional Learning) We define social and emotional learning (SEL) as an integral part of education and human development. SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions. (Fundamentals of SEL - CASEL) This month Health Professions will focus on Social Media Safety. For more information visit Parent ProTech.
ACT Testing - Tuesday, March 26
ACT testing for all 11th grade students on Tuesday, March 26th. Link for review are attached.
Student IDs
For our student's safety, IDs are mandatory. Students need to wear their ID on a lanyard and must be visible when at campus or on an STISD bus. If students need an ID, they may purchase one for 5.00 at the counseling center.
- All students need to wear their ID at all times when on campus. Please ensure your child has an ID when they come to school. Students without an ID will receive detention.
- Student drop off is at liberty island in morning (red arrows)
- Student pick up is by the Health Professions front office (blue arrows)
- All students driving to campus will need a parking permit. All those without may have their vehicle towed.
- All parents should have received a parent pass to use if you need to pick up your child early from campus. If you did not receive this pass, please contact the front office.
