A Message From Your Principal
Greetings, Eames Way Families!
Today marks the official end of Term 2 and the finale of Read Across America Spirit Week! We enjoyed the fun themes of every day and special "Reading Trivia" questions from Mrs. Clancy in the mornings. We also had special guest readers share stories with us during lunch!
Speaking of stories, on Monday our students in grades 3-5 enjoyed performances from Historical Storyteller Sheryl Faye. Thank you to our wonderful EWS PTO for providing this opportunity for students to learn more about the inspirational stories of Anne Frank, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and Abigail Adams as we recognize and celebrate Women's History Month!
Read on to learn more about our happenings this week and have a wonderful weekend!
With Best Wishes,
Ms. Bishop, Principal

A healthy eating pattern includes: A variety of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, fat-free and low-fat dairy products, a variety of protein foods and oils.
Eating a healthy breakfast is associated with improved cognitive function (especially memory), reduced absenteeism, and improved mood.
Adequate hydration may also improve cognitive function in children and adolescents, which is important for learning.
The benefits of healthy eating reduce the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, iron deficiency and dental caries (cavities).
Illnesses: If you are keeping your child home for more than a day or 2 due to illness- please contact Nurse White, especially if the illness is something that is of a contagious nature(Influenza, strep, covid, pink eye, stomach bug, hand foot and mouth, etc.). If you have any questions or concerns about illness/symptoms please feel free to reach out to me at 781-835-5090 ext 44500 or by email awhite@mpsd.org. I am happy to help guide you.
Please remember that if your child has been out sick they can return to school once they have been without fever, vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications and when their overall symptoms have improved.
If your child has an illness or injury that results in an absence for 5 or more days- a doctor’s note must be sent in upon returning to class with any restrictions and appropriate dates.
