Mrs. Schneider is fabulous model for our students, showing kindness and caring for all. She goes above and beyond each and every day. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Schneider! We are fortunate to have you as part of the South team!
Harry Potter Club
We appreciate our staff providing different club opportunities at South Elementary. The Harry Potter Club, which is new to South, has taken off like a golden snitch! Students from fourth and fifth grade have joined after school on Tuesdays to dabble in some wizardry. With magical snacks, creative crafts and awesome activities- we've been busy all while reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in Professor Haislip's Hogwarts-themed classroom. Club interests is always high, so be on the look out for more club opportunities throughout the year. Space is limited per club on a first come, first serve basis.

Lost and Found
Our lost and found is exceptionally full. Please make sure that your child/children's winter items are labeled with their names on them. This includes coats, hats, mittens/gloves, snow pants and boots. If you believe your child has lost something please have them check the lost and found. Please also check the lost and found, when you attend parent-teacher conferences, to claim any of your child's items.
A Message from Mrs. J in PE
As the weather is changing many kids are showing up for PE in boots. As a reminder, wearing athletic shoes for PE is super important to keep everyone safe. Please make a note of your child's PE days. If possible, it would be helpful to have your child keep an extra pair of shoes at school for days your child forgets and doesn’t have proper shoes for class. For safety reasons, students without gym shoes will not be able to participate in gym class that day.
IMPORTANT Car Drop Off/Pick Up Info
For car pick up and drop off, please utilize the front lane or Dole parking lot. For student safety and traffic flow, parents should not be pulling in the bus pull through/parking lot area to drop off/pick up students. Thank you.
Progress Reports were made available on Friday, November 18th via ParentVue. Parents must have their Synergy ParentVue login and password to view their child’s progress report. Should you need assistance with your log-in/password, please contact the help desk at hd@d47.org.
