Sherrard Junior High School
General Information
- We will host a Game Day Program on Tuesday, March 26 during all lunches.
- The Junior High Just for Fun Reading Club will meet on Thursday, March 28 during lunch.
- We will have voting all month for March Madness. Any student can vote for their favorite fiction genres and formats. The bracket for this year is below, and round one of voting will close on Tuesday, March 5. Full Voting Schedule here.
- March is Women's History Month, and the library has lots of print and digital resources to help you celebrate!
- Teen Advisory Board meets every Friday morning we have school at 7:15 a.m. Students can still join!

Facing the Mountain by Daniel James Brown
This nonfiction book discusses the story of four Japanese American men who fought for the United States during WWII, even while their families were in Japanese internment camps.
Is There Anybody Out There? by Laura Krantz
This book is a reflection on whether or not there might be other life forms in the world. Students interested in aliens might enjoy this book.
Run and Hide by Don Brown
Run and Hide is a graphic nonfiction book about the holocaust, and how some Jewish children were separated from their family and survived. Students interested in history and holocaust stories should try this one!
