- November 23-27 Thanksgiving Break
- November 30- Deadline to Fill out Electives Form- (9-12 Grade ONLY)
I hope this message finds you well as we begin a much needed break for our staff, students, and families. I am going to keep this message short and simple and share a few moments of gratitude with you, of which I have been spending a fair amount of time thinking about over the last few weeks:
I am thankful for our families that have been with us on this eLearning journey. This has certainly been an experience unlike anything else, and I am very appreciative and humbled by your continued support and tenacity. When I was in teacher school, I never thought I would ask parents to take on the responsibilities you all have these past few months. Thank you for everything you do for our kids.
I am thankful for our teachers and admin team, who have poured hours upon hours of additional work into eLearning to make it work (and work well) for our kids. Every single member of our eLearning team has risen to this challenge with grace, grit, and positively. How truly blessed I am to work alongside such talented and dedicated educators.
I am thankful for our students, who on the daily remind me why we do what we do. No one is more impacted by this educational shift than our kids, and seeing how they have handled this experience with flexibility, perseverance, toughness, and smiles is a great reminder to us all that these kids are incredible. There is no greater assurance to a bright future than our students, and how thankful I am that they remind me everyday of that fact.
I am thankful for my wife and kids, whose support I could not do this without. I am also thankful for everyone working hard to keep our community safe and supported during a pandemic fraught with uncertainty.
There are many more people for whom I am thankful, and I will be sharing that thanks in the week to come. For now, I hope you too are able to find what brings you gratitude in the days to come, and I hope you find it surrounded by those you love most.
Have an excellent break, stay safe, and be well-
-Paul

Edgenuity grades update:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week, you should have noticed that your student(s) now have a grade for their Edgenuity classes entered into Infinite Campus. This grade will be considered an “In Progress” grade, as the semester is not yet over.
The grade that will be entered will be the "Actual" grade from the Edgenuity graded report. This is important for you to know because the "Actual" grade will be the grade that is posted in Infinite Campus at the end of the semester, NOT the Overall grade. For more clarification on Edgenuity grading, please click here.
The Edgenuity Progress Report has been changed to reflect the "Actual" grade over the "Overall" Grade to start making this transition.
Please reach out to the eLearning admin team if you have any questions.
Student Check In
Each student is now responsible for indicating your own attendance. It is incredibly important you do this EVERY DAY you participate in your Edgenuity course work. All you need to do is follow three simple steps!
Step 1: Login to your Infinite Campus portal
Step 2: Locate the box that says "Check Ins" and click it
Step 3: Click "Yes, I'm Here"
***Only check in if you have participated in Edgenuity for the day, if you DON'T login to Edgenuity you will be marked ABSENT.
Final Stretch for Edgenuity Classes
We are now entering the final stretch of time before classes end for the semester. It is critical that students continue to log in and complete their coursework to the best of their abilities. If you find that your student is behind, please reach out to one of your student's teachers to get support with regard to completing coursework on time. We are ready to set up schedules with you and your child as a way to find success to finish on time with good grades. We can help breakdown the amount of time that needs to be spent on classes to determine that schedule. Or, we can examine the number of assignments remaining to establish a plan for completing those assignments. We want to help your child successfully complete this semester, but we can't do this alone. We need to work with your student and you to create a wraparound support
Please know that your child can work on Edgenuity at any time of the day, on any day of the week. Edgenuity access does not follow our school calendar.
We are quickly approaching a point whereas if your student has not been engaging in his/her learning with Edgenuity, he/she is at risk for not passing the course. For our students in grades 9-12, this could have significant impacts on their track to graduation, and it could result in the student needing to enroll in a credit recovery course.
For students that are slightly to moderately behind in their progress, please encourage them to reach out to their teachers for solutions and supports to get caught up. Please know this also applies to students that are significantly behind. However, that conversation will be more focused and will require students to commit a larger amount of time to ensure course completion on time. Regardless of where your student is at, if they are behind and/or stressed about their progress, please encourage them to set up time with one of their teachers to discuss a success plan to complete the course.
Please reach out if you have any questions. Thank you for your support!
