Hunt Book Club
Mrs. Haley, District Librarian, will lead 3rd grade students through three chapter books this semester. Students will read How to Be Cool in the Third Grade as their first book. Students that are interested in joining the club need to submit their form by Friday, September 11, so that an accurate amount of books may be ordered. The Book Club begins on Monday, Sept. 28 and will continue each Monday during the 3rd grade lunch period. Book Club students will take their lunch to the library each Monday and Mrs. Haley will help facilitate the book talk as the students eat their lunch. We hope to foster the love of reading with our Hunt Elementary Book Club!

We've Got GRIT, Yes We Do!
Avery Acevedo in Ms. Anderle's Class, Sawyer Fuchs in Mrs. Jones's Class, and Alivia Hilscher in Mrs. Cantu's Class follow our PBIS expectations and dress for success while being RESPONSIBLE in doing their very best on their assignments.
From Your Principal...
This next week is Homecoming Week. Homecoming is an annual tradition among many high schools and colleges throughout the nation. There are often celebrations that go along with Homecoming football games such as dress up days, dances, parades, Homecoming Queens and Kings, mums, garters...it is definitely an action-packed time of year!
When I think about Homecoming I feel a great sense of pride...Cuero is my hometown and I couldn't have asked for a better community in which to grow! Being able to serve as a school leader in the town that "raised" me is rewarding beyond words!
Take a few moments this next week and reflect upon what your hometown means to you. Think of how the experiences and people there shaped your life and helped you become the person you are today. Then think about the impact you are making on our Young Gobblers within their hometown of Cuero. What memories do you want to help create for them? How do you want them to remember their school-aged days? You are each a part of the future "homecomings" of your students...make each moment count!
