Christy Fugitt, Brazos River RDSPD Program Coordinator
Christy has just completed 20 years as the Children's Youth minister at her church. Christy is happily married and has three wonderful children who attend school in WISD.
We are so lucky that Christy has accepted this position. Not only is she highly skilled, she has a true heart for the Brazos River staff and the Deaf/hard of hearing students she serves. Starting Monday, September 23, 2019, Christy is going to take the Brazos River RDPSD Program and make it even stronger!!

Kody Schouten
- Kody was born deaf.
- Brazos River RDSPD Graduate from Hico ISD.
- Attended Tarleton State University for B.S. in Environmental Engineering and University of Texas in Arlington for M.Eng in Water Resource Engineering.
- Currently employed with the City of Austin Watershed Protection Department.
- Is involved with Texas School for the Deaf-sponsored Discovery Leadership for STEM topics with high school students. (Article from Crossroads website)
