Colts Chronicle
A Cimarron Middle School community communication.
A Note from the Front Office
We would like the community to know that if you are going to pick up your student early, it is very helpful if you call ahead. When you call ahead, we are able to locate your student and have them wait in the front office for you to arrive. This really helps to alleviate the traffic in the front office and will also prevent you from having to wait for your student to be called down.
We like to thank each and every one of you for your support and partnership during this first quarter. Students and staff celebrated today with our Be Red Assembly. Students showed off their school spirit and presented their team chants with pride.
We hope that everyone enjoys the upcoming break. When students return it will be the start of the second quarter. Remind your students that if they didn't end this quarter the way they wanted to, they can start fresh when they return. Help them identify a goal for themselves to focus on for the next quarter. If your student ended the quarter successfully, help them identify strategies they used that allowed them to be so successful. The key to continual growth starts with self reflection.
Please keep in mind that second quarter tends to move very quickly. With the November and December breaks, the new year will be here before you know it. Remind your students to stay on task and caught up despite all the time off in this quarter.
PTO Upcoming Events
Yeehaw! Join us at Cimarron Middle School for the 2021 Howdy Holidays Festival of Trees on Saturday, December 4th from 9am - noon. We need your support and help to make our biggest fundraiser event of the year a complete success.
How can you help? We need families and businesses to donate decorated, artificial Christmas trees. These trees can be decorated with items from your business, or any theme you choose! (Chocolate, Games, Sports, Movies - anything that makes you happy.) This is a great opportunity for businesses to promote their companies and support the Cimarron community all at the same time. Please consider reaching out to any local businesses you have a connection to, or just love to support, and ask if they will donate. We also love trees that our families create and donate as well.
You want to donate a tree? Wonderful! Go to Cimarron’s Festival of Tree page and follow the link to sign up and donate. https://sites.google.com/dcsdk12.org/cimspto/home/festival-of-trees.
Entry tickets and tree tickets are available for pre-purchasing starting November 1st on MySchoolBucks.com.
