Language Arts:
Students will use literary texts in order to identify and describe the main character and setting.
Students will generate ideas through drawings in order to set a purpose for writing.
Students will always capitalize the first letter in a sentence.
Math:
Students count forward and backward to 10 with and without objects. Students count a set of objects up to at least 10 and demonstrate that the last number said tells the number of objects in the set regardless of their arrangement or order
Homework:
Read any book to your child. Have your child draw and label the character and setting of the story. The recording sheet will be sent home in your child's folder on Tuesday, September 3rd.
September 9 - 13
Language Arts:
Students will use literary texts to make connections and inferences in order to deepen comprehension.
Students will use pictures and words in their writing in order to create meaning.
I always capitalize the first letter in a name.
Math:
Students generate a set using concrete and pictorial models that represents a number that is more than, less than, and equal to a given number up to 10. Students compare sets of objects up to at least 10 in each set using comparative language.
Homework:
Comparing Apples to Apples Worksheet: Look at each pair of apples and color the apple that shows the greater number. The homework sheet will be sent home on Monday, September 9th.
